The mid-altitude mountains offer a playground for unlimited discovery of the local countryside. There are many kilometres of marked trails for family walks and trekking in the Portes du Soleil... Will the Summer be long enough for you to see it all?

For all the family:
The Dranse walking trail: an easy path for pedestrians and bikes, accessible with pushair, it links Abondance to Châtel along the Dranse river by the Chapelle d'Abondance. Discover the culture of the Valley, its nature and its mountain landscapes. With the Colombus shuttle, you can come back to Abondance. 
 
Lake "Les Plagnes": a Geopark Chablais Unesco to discover with your family, many hiking departures from this awesome natural site.

The Autigny Chalets: An half day hike between forest and moutain pasture. A high difference of 400 meters. A beautiful view from the Autigny chalets to admire the edge of the Mont Chauffé, the Cornettes de Bise.

Intermediate walking trails to discover absolutly: 
Lake Tavaneuse (1805 m): One of the most beautiful moutain lake of the Chablais. Several departures from Pretairié or from the lake Les Plagnes. 
The Autigny top (1808 m): accessible from the Autigny chalets.

Sportive walking trails: 
Conquer the sommits of the Valley:
The Mont de Grange (2432 m), the Cornettes de Bise (2432 m), the Mont Chauffé (2000 m), the Roc de Tavaneuse (2156 m), the Pic de la Corne (2084 m)...

In summer, the Portes du Soleil area is accessible by walking with the chairlifts.
 
The moutain guides propose you to discover the mountain and its fabulous tresors according to your level. A weekly program is available in the tourist office of Abondance.
