The route goes along a high and steep rock face. It also follows a number of rocky sections with a succession of turns, dihedrals and overhangs. There are three distinct sections: the “cabri”, the “chamois” and the “bouquetin” and they can either be done successively or not. There are a number of demanding sections, more or less intense in the second and third parts - these should be attempted only by accomplished climbers or with an experienced guide.

In the Abondance valley and in the Haut Chablais area in general, climbing can be enjoyed at all levels and in many ways.
The climbing season is prolonged due to the regulating influence of the lake; and since the local mountains are of average altitude, one can start climbing early in Spring and continue until late in the Autumn. The Limestone rock is of good quality; it is compact and generally offers good adherence, making for varied climbs where bumps and edges abound, on both short single-pitch routes and on routes as long as 200m.
A guide on the Chablais area can be bought at the local book store and more information is available on www.chablais-grimpe.com
